Our History

Rick Martens earned his Horticulture degree in 1988 from Las Positas College in Livermore, CA . Landscaping has always been Rick's passion so he launched his own landscape business, Primo Plantscapes, in 1993. In 2016 Rick rebranded the company and is pleased to introduce Legendary Landscapes.

• Certified Landscape Technician (CLT) in Landscape Construction & Irrigation
• Over twenty years of experience designing and installing beautiful landscapes
• Member of APLD (Association of Professional Landscape Designers)
• Member CLCA (California Landscape Contractors Association) East Bay Chapter and past president in 2003 -04 & 2006
• Member of Niles Rotary, 1999 - 2005
• President of the Buon Tempo Club of Castro Valley, an Italian Club that promotes Italian heritage and provides scholarships for high school students of Italian decent.
